Why dun ppl believe me?
don't you just hate it when you explain to someone something and he/she says "sure or not??" and then immediately reached for the textbook to check it out? this is a frequent occurence i find... during our days in the wards.
fine... i know i'm not brilliant like those dean's lister out there. i know my brain's not so powerful that i can spit out the textbook paragraph word for word. i know sometimes my memory may fail me. but hey! if i said "I'm EXTREMELY sure it is like that"... it means i'm extremely sure it is like that! and if u still dun believe what i said, then dun bother to ask me! just go check it out on ur own la!
if i'm not that sure but have a vague impression of the answer, i'll tell you "i THINK it's like that... but i'm not sure, so you better check it out!"
ok... granted some ppl need to read it out from a textbook before they'll take the knowledge or fact in. granted some ppl would still wanna go and get some confirmation. then don't do it in front of the person you just asked. it's some ego thing i guess... it's like you dun trust me to give u the right info or dun think i'm bright enough to be able to give you the right answer.
anyway, heck la... if u wanna check, go ahead! cos in the event that i'm extremely sure of my answer, u'll find that what i said is exactly what u'll read in the textbook. that gives me an opportunity to say "I told you so!" smugly... HA!
there are also some who puts up a fight against my argument and adamantly insists on his/her answer. hate those... even though with these verbal challenges, we learn from each other... learn how to defend our argument intelligently. worse... those who fight without substance... i'll never dare argue my point if i suspect it may be flawed... either due to poor memory or wrong info...
haha... just some grouses...
