Confident or Cocky?

had a combined tutorial. the case was presented by someone in another cg... he presented it very fluently without reading out from his notes. he answered our queries about his history off the top of his head too, with absolute certainty and no stammering at all.

Confidence... he's shown it all. that's something many of us don't have. after all, we're only 3 years into our clinical experience! how sure are we about ourselves and our skills? and yet, with confidence, u are more likely to convince ppl to believe in what you're saying and hence convince the examiners to give u a pass in mbbs.

however, i realized it's a very thin line between confidence and cockiness. somehow, he appeared to have just a tad too much confidence to the extent that he sounded kinda cocky. his tone and non-verbal language puts me off. yes... he did sound impressive at first. but after that, you just wonder what's he trying to show off? he's just a small fry, especially in front of a senior consultant!
