In a world of their own

No matter whether you look back in your old school days or look around you now, i'm sure it's not difficult to find at least 1 person in the cohort who is generally hated by the whole world. everyone ostracizes them, nobody wanna sit next to them in class, everybody shuns them and avoid eye contact. Why? cos many times these ppl haf some traits which are not too acceptable in the society but they're often living in a world of their own such that they dun realize tt!

my list is definitely not exhaustive... feel free to add on if you want!

1) the Try-too-hard's
these ppl are super duper friendly to everyone. they curry favour everyone tt comes their way. they act too nice to ppl and sometimes appear as a bit "over". they go around pretending that the whole world loves them when actually nobody really cares abt them. they behave weirdly, for example, wave their hands frantically and scream at the top of their voice to announce ur arrival into the canteen or classroom. or rather to announce their "social status" to the world. they also try their best to strike up pointless conversations with ppl.

2) the Teacher's pet
they do their homework on time, offer to clean the blackboard ALL the time, help the teacher carry books to the staff room n raise up their hands to answer or ask questions ALL the time. they're vicious to the rest of the class but pretend to be an angel in front of the teacher. everyone sneers and snarls when the teacher praises them.

3) the CAO-ON's
these ppl are super competitive! they fight to sit in the front row so they can see experiments better. they grab all the opportunities to do stuff n don't let other ppl have a chance to learn. they do better than everyone in school but nobody shares their lunches or gossips with them. they have straight A's in their record but no friends by their side.

4) the Backstabbers
they use underhanded means to get what they want. they pretend to be nice to you upfront but pass malicious rumours behind your back. unfortunately, ppl take a long time to realize the viciousness of these ppl, so initially they may appear to be very well-liked by everyone cos everyone's in the process of being cheated. but soon, everyone collaborates to hate them!

5) the Big-mouths
better not tell them anything cos they can't keep secrets! you know once you tell them something, it's as good as broadcasting it to the whole world... even when you specifically say "don't tell anyone"! ppl start shunning them to avoid making any form of conversations cos we know most of it will leak out. prob is they still try too hard (see "the try-too-hard's") to strike up conversations with other ppl cos it's just in their nature. but the more they try, the more we shun!

6) the Damn rich and Damn spoilt
these ppl are well-liked on the surface. becos they're rich or have some strong family backing, ppl hafta be subserviant to them or ppl pretend to be nice to them cos of some benefits. note: it's ok to be damn rich... the problem comes from the damn spoilt. they get whatever they want with the wave of a finger regardless of any inconvenience or distress caused to other ppl in the process.

7) the Weirdos
they say strange things at the most inappropriate times and have weird behaviour generally. they give ppl bad vibes and sometimes may appear a bit psychopath-like. ppl are awfully embarassed by their strange behaviour and hence shun them to avoid being associated with them.

8) the Monarch
these ppl wanna be in charge and in control of everything ALL the time! they think they're king and they can dominate the whole situation. they fight to take up leadership roles just so they can boss other ppl around. they make ppl do stuff so that everything will be to his own advantage.

i think everyone can probably identify ppl around them with these bad traits. in fact, i wun deny that at certain times i notice myself having those behaviour too! but the bad response i get from ppl is usu enough to make me stop e behaviour and change for the better. the problem comes when ppl are oblivious to it! they're totally clueless that what they're doing is not acceptable! worse still, if they think everyone else is like them or should be like them!
