This lazy girl had to dress up!

i'm definitely a lazy girl where beauty is concerned. Really glad i'm not in a profession where makeup is an absolute essential. I already take more than 1 hour to get ready for work cos it includes:

1) showering (haha! shower in the morning is a must no matter whether rain or shine, hot or cold! i even showered in melbourne when the temp was single-digit!)
2) ironing my clothes (i don't believe in ironing the night b4 cos what i wear depends on my mood that morning)
3) packing my bag (worse if i decide to swap ard... heh)
4) having a nice breakfast with my hot tea and Today newspaper

Can you imagine if i have to put on makeup for work?! then i gotto wake up another 1/2 - 1 hour earlier! So yup... this lazy girl can't be bothered with makeup or hairstyling on a daily basis. I just put on my 3 layers of joyce lim products, comb my hair and tt's it! i'm good to go!

Oh... but I do enjoy the once-in-a-while glamming up for occasions! and this weekend i had so much fun doing tt! Started off on friday with Mandy's hen night party and of course, Mandy's big big wedding!!

Mandy's hen night party was a success! We did really outrageous (and definitely kinky) things which are eh herm... classified info (lest jeremy gets a fit if he chances upon my blog... heh)! Dressed up for the night since lots of pics would likely be taken tt day!

In addition, I had the honour of being one of Mandy's 5 bridesmaids on her big day. All of us were in lil pink tube dresses with white ribbons! Had the fun of getting our hair done nicely (very nicely in fact, by none other than Liling... who thinks she's found another niche in life should she get bored with cutting ppl up) and putting on makeup painstakingly.

Painstakingly cos it's such a chore for me! Make up for the eye in particular! see right... u hafta put on one layer of light blue eye shadow, then another layer of glitter eye shadow. Next, apply eyeliner... and oops! the eyeliner's out! darn... so remove everything with a cotton pad and start from square one. Finally the eyeliner's done, u apply the mascara and oops! it's clumpy, sticky or smudgy (whatever!) and AAHH! it's back to square one again! When i'm finally done, i hafta stop myself from rubbing my eyes and tearing too much (i tear really easily... even when i laugh!).

Madness... i pity those ppl who hafta go through this everyday just to look presentable and pretty at work. Then again, unlike me, they're probably quite pro since they have so much practice everyday.

Hmm... i wonder if there'll come a day when i'll bother to dress up and make up frequently. Maybe when someone who matters comes along... someone whom i need to charm... or maybe when i reach 40 and i realize the wrinkles need to be hidden! boohoo...
