Enlightenment

haha... today was a medicine track paper and i was studying surgery track the entire weekend. it's not cos i'm so steady and confident of my medicine k... it's cos i'm in deep S&*$ for my surgery track!!

anyway, let's not dwell on my complaints about how horrible my preparation for surgery is... i really can go on n on n on...

i realized from today's paper that whatever i'm supposed to know for medicine is already in my head and any last minute mugging won't do much good. chances are the things u cram in last minute won't come out. either that, u can't remember them anyway if u haven't been remembering them for the past few weeks.

so in a way, i'm glad i abandoned my medicine and studied surgery during the weekend.

i think exams are like strategy games... u must know ur enemy in order to win this game. u must also condition urself and strategize ur moves. knowing urself well helps a lot too! so are exams really a good gauge of how good a doctor will be? is the exam battlefield similar to the real battlefield u face as a dr?
