Touched by angels
tuesday was a looong day... grand ward rounds, combined teaching session, tutorial, clinic session n night duty! started at 7.30am and ended at 11pm!! but it was so pleasant... cos of a few angels i met...
grand ward rounds was for the first time pretty enlightening... is it cos we now know enough to understand what the heck the surgeons are discussing compared to yr 3? maybe... but i think it's also thanks to the HOD who spent a few minutes to explain things relevant to us medical students for each case. he was so concise and clear when he explained too! that's angel no.1!
during our team ward round, the associate consultant actually bothered to go through pertinent points for every patient we saw, made us show him how to examine, etc. and during the usual morning tea break, gave us a treat to drinks! haha! we took advantage of his niceness and asked him to give us a tutorial on varicose veins. and wow... his tutorial was excellent. i actually dun mind getting a patient with varicose veins for my mbbs liao...
and guess wat? it was the same associate cons who was on call yesterday nite. together with a pretty shuai4 MO and nice HO. haha! it was a fruitful nite... and also fun nite! cos we went out for dinner and drinks! i dunno if they do this often, but they brought me to a posh pub-like restaurant. this other reg came along and gave all of us a treat to cabernet sauvignon and food platter. wah... i think i saw him give the waitress 3 50-dollar notes and got $20 change... the dinner was pretty enjoyable too cos they entertained me with the gossips of ppl in the department. hehheh... shhh... i'm not supposed to tell... haha! after dinner, we went back to the wards where i tagged along with the HO and clerk new cases, set IV plug with him. yup! 3 more angels...
the last angel is the ultimate... she's a nursing officer who was waiting at the lobby for her son to come fetch her home. i was talking to my HO while queuing at the taxi stand. she knows my HO so she came over to chitchat with us too. she asked me where i stay and realized that i stay just 1 street away from her! so i was offered a ride home!! yoohoo!! save money, save time... her son was so nice to drop me directly at my block somemore, even though i kept insisting that i should just drop at the mrt opposite my house.
this kinda day's rare... i'm surprised so many angels popped by in just 1 day. maybe it's the hospital and its general atmosphere... many ppl have negative reviews about this hospital. but i think it's a trade-off... for the things it is lacking, they're made up for by its other strengths... all things are good in their own way...

This morning when the Lord opened a window to Heaven, He saw me, and He asked: "My child, what is your greatest wish for today?" I responded:
"Lord please, take care of the person who is reading this message, their family and their special friends. They deserve it and I love them very much" The love of God is like the ocean, you can see its beginning, but not its end.
This message works on the day you receive it. Let us see if it is
true. ANGELS EXIST but some times, since they don't all have wings, we call them FRIENDS.
Pass this on to your true friends. Something g ood will happen to you at 11:00 in the morning; something that you have been waiting to hear. This is not a joke; someone will call you by phone or will speak to you about something that you were waiting to hear.
Do not break this prayer; send it to a minimum of 5 people.
