i'm back!!

gosh... has it really been more than 1 month since i last updated my blog? sorry folks... my com was down, new com came, modem driver had problems, ladida... but it's FINALLY up!!

so how've i been?? especially when i left everyone with such a horrible entry previously... u guys must think i've given up on my pathetic life and disappeared from the face of earth or something.

haha... on the contrary, life has been really really good to me.

let's just say i've gotten used to the pace of a house officer and gotten familiar with how things work. my working life's much smoother nowadays... still tough but less screw-ups i guess...

not to mention, i was blessed with such good luck cos i had the chance to work with such a sweet and fun-loving team!! i mean really really sweet and nice to me... my consultant saw me at the corridor at 10.30am and actually reminded me to go post-call. when i called my mo, reg or consultant up in the afternoons to ask abt stuff, they always asked me if i had my lunch already and my mo called me a couple of times to ask if i wanted da bao from the canteen. my consultant kept thanking me for goodness knows what reason... basically for doing things i'm supposed to do anyway! everyone tried their best to teach me things along the way... even managed to scrub up and assist in the ops!! which is what most house officers dun get to do!

they're also a joy to be with! we had a couple of relaxing gatherings where there was food and wine and everyone just talked rubbish! even during ward rounds, jokes and laughter were always present! gosh... we must be the noisiest bunch of ppl in the hospital... can usually hear us before u see us.

and of utmost importance, is my dear partner!! it's really great to be working with a partner... think my life was especially miserable in my first month cos i was ALL ALONE. whatever shit i had to handle, i handled them alone! my dear partner has been an extremely great help to me... i'm always the busier one and she always had to help me out with the changes. never once did she turn me down, never once did she complain that i'm piling work on her hands when she could be relaxing, having an early lunch or something. really thankful to her...

haaii... as i'm typing this, i'm missing my team already. will be joining another team next monday. hopefully it'll be as nice as this one.

being without a com and being a HO has taken a toll on my social life for the past few weeks. gosh... i've been such a horrible friend. can only meet up with individual frens once every few weeks cos i hafta try to spread out my weeks evenly. hardly know what's up with them lately. all the fellow HO's must've many complaints and experiences to share but we never get a chance to meet up except say hi to each other in the wards occasionally when i have overflows. non-med frens even worse... wonder how they're doing...

well, my com's finally up and running... hopefully msn'll bring back a part of my social life.
